Our Dental Hygiene Services

Our dental hygienists provide comprehensive care to each and every patient in a very gentle manner. They are very knowledgeable about gum disease and its treatment. Our aim is to educate patients about their oral health and provide the optimal treatment for each individual. The frequency of hygiene visits is based on the needs of each patient and based on objective screening methods.

Your Hygiene Visit

Your dental hygiene visit will consist of:

• An overview of your general health and medications and what impact that may have on your oral health
• Intra-oral soft tissue exam including oral cancer screening
• Periodontal exam to evaluate the overall health of the gums
• X-rays as needed
• Scaling with ultrasonic and hand instruments to remove tartar and plaque buildup
• Polishing to remove stains
• Fluoride/desensitizing treatment as needed
• Oral hygiene instruction
